By the end of 2012, we wish to become a sustainable, self-feeding online community. For this, we plan to:
- develop a core community of readers and translators, gather a social media following, and build further relationships with influential bridging blogs and the media.
- start a micro-finance donation program and explore crowd-funding options, apply for government grants, and explore sponsorship opportunities
- develop partnerships with language centres and universities to integrate Marco Polo Project as part of the Chinese language curriculum, and develop a ‘translation workshop’ model to developed offline communities and events on the basis of our platform
